Whitehouse Cyber Security Chief removed abruptly from office

Newly Elected US President Donald Trump has secretly removed the White House’s cyber security Chief on Thursday this week. White House’s Chief Information Officer Cory Louie was abruptly shown the door yesterday, but the news was kept under wraps till early hours of Friday.

The reason for his removal on a sudden note is yet to be disclosed to the media. But going into the history, it was past US President Barack Obama who created the post of Federal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in 2016 to drive policies, planning, and implementation of cyber security.

The White House CISO which was a post held by Cory is responsible for the security of internal networks, communications, data and device security. So, the position is vacant at present and an order to fill the post can be expected by early next week.

It has to be notified over here that Tony Scott, Former Federal Chief Information Officer and David Recordon, the IT Director of White House resigned the office as soon as President Obama left the office on January 18th, this year.

As per the latest tweet of US Chief Information Security Officer Gregory Touhill, President Donald Trump and his office are showing a lot of disregard for cyber security practices. Mr. Touhill feels that this could prove lethal to the entire US administration if left disregarded.

For instance, Donald Trump is using a Samsung Galaxy for sensitive communication. It’s proven that Android based phones are extremely vulnerable to hackers. And when countries like Russia are always snooping into the activities of the US and its pals, it is better if the new President Donald Trump & his office respects the in-place cyber security stipulations and practices them on a perfect note.

Otherwise, we could soon expect another ‘Hillary Clinton’ controversy soon.
