Trillium Inc vows to eliminate cyber attacks on Autonomous Cars

Trillium Inc, a Tokyo-based company has pledged to close the cyber security gap that threatens to stop self-driving cars from being hijacked or stopped midway. Very recently, the company received Series A Financial funding to strengthen its stand in the business of cyber security and lead investors who were involved in the investment includes Global Brain, Mizuho Capital, and DBJ Capital.

Technically, Trillium designs and provides customized cyber security systems which are multi-layered and can be used for automotive needs. But the company doesn’t restrict its cyber security systems to self- driven cars and says that its product line is also applicable to IoT spectrum.

In general, the media reports about hundreds of articles pertaining to self-driven cars on a daily note. But none or very few of the articles discuss the threat these car owners will face from the cyber world.

Trillium wants to provide the connected cars automakers like Toyota a kind of reliable defense against cyber threats. Trillium confirms that its solutions are/will be robust, comprehensive and cost effectively compatible with any architecture or operating system.

With the latest financial boost, Trillium wants to develop its stand in several fronts like

a.) Spread its business operations to America’s Silicon Valley.
To boost its operations, Trillium wants to establish a satellite penetration testing and engineering hub in Michigan, USA.

b.) The cyber security company wants to speed up the development and deployment of IoT Cyber Security Platforms such as ‘SecureCAR’ and ‘SecureIoT’.

c.) At the same time, Trillium wants to expand its in-vehicle implementation and testing of cyber security retrofits on the present day’s connected vehicles.

d.) By 2019, Trillium wants to move into its next phase by rolling out a comprehensive, subscription-based security solution for all segments of the transportation industry with the help of a Series B funding.

NOTE-Trillium Inc is a 2014 startup which was founded by a team of engineers from Japan, Europe, and the United States. It received a lead investment from Tokyo-based venture capitalist named Global Brain.
