Google has offered a new mobile security bulletin specifically for Google Pixel and Nexus Phones. And the update released in November contains an innovative feature of Functional Updates which can easily fix operational bugs on the said devices.
According to the details available to our Cybersecurity Insiders, Google has released 11 security patches on November 1 and 5Th and another 11 on November 6th of this year. The latest ones issued were meant to fix KRACK WIFI vulnerability, media frame issues which could allow attackers to remotely execute malicious codes on target devices and vulnerabilities on network subsystems.
Alongside, Google has also issued the following “Functional Updates”
A.) A65225835 Audio update- meant to warn users against a threshold warning allowed in some regions.
B.) A37943083 Bluetooth Update- is meant to improve devices running on AVRCP version 1.3 Bluetooth
C.) A63790458 is an update meant for improved headset connection pairing
D.) A64142363, A65223508 & A64991621 updates meant for improved song info display on some Bluetooth car kits.
E.) A65463237 Bluetooth update to improve Magic Tether on BLE.
F.) A64977836 update is meant to improve the phone’s camera autofocus ability during video capture.
G.) A65099590 update is meant to improve the front camera’s response speed.
H.) A64103722 update is meant to adjust Youtube switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi.
I.) A65113738 Mobile data update is meant to adjust mobile data streaming on 3 networks
J.) A37187694 update is meant to improve application stability.
The web search giant has also announced that the newly released security bulletin is being offered specifically to Nexus and Pixel smartphones and is not meant for other OEMs.
