Dallas based privately owned mobile security company Zimperium has made it official that it is going to acquire security startup company Mi3 Security Inc. The former’s plan is to integrate the technology of the latter company to offer stronger cyber threat detection and security for smartphones.
The financial terms of the deal are being kept as a secret on a present note. So, the financial details of the deal will be updated as soon as they are available to the public on an official note.
Sources reporting to Cybersecurity Insiders said that Zimperium had a very strong OEM relationship with Mi3 Security for several years. Now, the relationship between the two companies has intensified with the acquisition deal.
From now on we will be able to integrate the full application security RECON platform with our zPlatform to deliver deeper and broader application security options for our customers”, said Jon Paterson, Chief Strategy Officer, Zimperium.

Note 1- Zimperium is well known for developing Smartphone software that uses Machine Learning to monitor user habits to detect and prevent possible Phone Hacking. From the year 2016, Zimperium has partnered with Blackberry to offer solutions which enhance mobile security on iOS and Android platforms.
Note 2- Mi3 Security offers a cloud-based intelligence platform that leverages globally sourced app data to give its users the precise, actionable information needed to identify the vulnerable Android and iOS apps in the enterprise before a breach occurs. So, technically the platform can be adjudged as an advanced mobile security detection platform.
