Data leak of over 533 million Facebook users

Facebook data of over 533 million users has been discovered on a hacking forum by Alon Gal, the Chef Technology Officer of Cybersecurity firm Hudson Rock who added that the leak could spell trouble to the social media giant as it could face harsh penalties from the data watchdogs across the world.

Leaked information includes phone numbers, location data, date of birth and biography of Facebook users. And news is out that the hackers also accessed data related to their physical addresses.

Mark Zuckerberg led firm has reacted to the news and stated that the data leak could have taken place in Feb 2019 and the then vulnerability has been fixed by cent percent.

And sources say that the leaked info includes that of 32 million users from United States, 6 million from India, 13 million from Germany, 14 million from Australia and 11 million from UK.
