To those uninitiated, from the past 7 days a message is doing round on various WhatsApp group claiming to turn the WhatsApp into Pink. And when someone clicks on the link, they are loosing complete access to their cell phone.

Experts related to Cybersecurity are advising users not to click on links or download apps from any other web resource other than the official app stores of Google and Apple Inc.

Often such apps compromise a device and steal personal data like photos, SMS and contacts. This malware also has the potential to compromise the Keyboard after which the hacker takes full control of the device tracking every activity that is being done on the smart phone. Later it captures details such as banking credentials, e-wallet passwords and also has the tendency to introduce cryptocurrency mining malware without the knowledge of the victim.

The malware is reported to be doing round in Canada, Australia and India and might quickly spread to other countries within no time say experts. In the country of South Africa, a group message is doing rounds on the WhatsApp claiming to turn the entire app into Gold.
