HackerU that transforms lives through digital training has acquired Cybint, a cloud based company that offers education related to Cybersecurity. Although the price of the acquisition is still unknown, some sources reported that HackerU could have paid $43m to $50m to close in the deal.
Specifically speaking, HackerU offers security based curriculum and programs through various universities based in Europe, United States and in Asia. So, buying a cloud based company that offers learning skills to students will definitely make sense.
Trade analysts say that both the companies will unite to form a new company named ThriveDX and will also start offering technical expertise to companies that search for ways to thwart various threats existing in the cyber landscape.
Meanwhile, United States is all set to pass an executive order soon that will engage the nation’s K-12 students with the basics of cyber education. The National Integrated Cyber Education Research Center, aka Cyber.org, has published curriculum vitae on this note that will help groom the skills of school going students against the existing threats in the cyber landscape.
The aim of teaching basic Cybersecurity skills to students K-12 is to build an education filled pipeline for those who want to take up security as their career that will in fact help in filling up nearly half a million Cybersecurity jobs in North America.
Cyber.Org Cybersecurity Learning Syllabus will include 3 core themes: Computing Systems, Digital Citizenship and security covering tops such as IoT threats, ransomware threats and state funded threats.
