Google, the Alphabet Incās subsidiary, has made it official that it is going to acquire Israel-based Cybersecurity firm named Siemplify for an undisclosed amount. The terms of the deal are yet to be known. However, trade analystsā opinion that the security startup could have been sold for $500m to the web search giant.
Siemplify that offers Security Orchestration Automation and Response (SOAR) services was found in 2015 in Tel Aviv by Garry Fatikhov, Amos Stern and Alon Cohen- the CEO. It is a vendor agnostic platform that will bolster Google Chronicleās security analytics and threat intelligence technology with automation.
Now to those who are unaware of the developments that took place last year, Google promised US President Joe Biden that it will invest over $10 billion in the next five years to strengthen the Cybersecurity field in America.
Thus, as promised, the internet juggernaut will invest over $4 billion in companies offering related tech from Israel that is most buzzing security hub across the globe.
Note- In September 2021, Google took a pledge that it will help the president in bolstering the security infrastructure of companies serving critical infrastructure by securing the software supply chain, bolstering the open-source security and expanding of zero-trust programs. It also assured the president that the Android giant will train around 100,000 Americans in security by 2024 and will assign the well-versed in a Google Career Certificate Program that has immense value in the field of data privacy and security.
