Elon Musk offers $5k reward to hacker of his Private Jet

Elon Musk, one of billionaires of the world, has offered a $5,000 reward to a hacker who was spying on his private jet through a twitter bot. And the tech giant chief says that the offer was made by him to avoid any security issues in the future.

But the 19-year-old teen has refused the offer and instead is seeking a 3 year internship in Tesla or SpaceX Starlink.

Jack Sweeney, who graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2020, devised around 15 Twitter bots that keep a track of private jets owned by Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and the former President Donald Trump along with 11 others.

Elon Musk’s private jet information was also relayed through these bots that stay in connection with the flight transponder frequencies and relay the information online.

To do so, Sweeney, who had a fascination for tracking planes from childhood has devised an algorithm that gets into the aviation systems and uses publicly available info to keep a track of specific planes.

As the teen who is now seeking Masters in Information Technology can only make $50 per month, Musk offered him $5k to remove the bot tracking his jet.

Initially, the Teen demanded $50k and then a Tesla Model 3 car. But then he changed his mind to seek a three-year internship in one of the much renowned companies of $245 billion currency holder.

The Tesla company owner then ordered his staff to use a blocking program to keep his private jet activities anonymous. But his technology, staff couldn’t do it for over 4 hours.

Wonder what will be Musk’s next move who offers internet through satellites……?
