Google One offers Free Titan Security Key to its premium users

Google One, which offers extended cloud storage support to privileged customers, says that all its active 2TB Plan subscribers will get a free Titan Security Key based on first-come, first-serve basis.

The business unit of Alphabet Inc has specified that the plan will offer the physical security key will be limited and will stay active till the stocks last.

So, all those users who subscribe for the active 2TB plan between April 18th and October 188, 20222 for pricing starting from $10 per month to $100 yearly will be eligible to ask for the free security key that acts as a 2FA.

All orders will only be accepted through Google Store and the user will also have the option to select a USB-A or USB-C variant of the security key.

Both the keys will have NFC support and the key having the USB-C support can also be used on Apple iPhone or iPad devices.

Note 1- Google offered its Titan Security Key for the past 4 years and the physical device is used to access an email or Google service account. After entering the email address and the password, the user needs to input the Titan Key into the device to confirm his/her identity. And can use the same across all online accounts linked to Google.

Note 2- Google One is a service offered to users who desire to expand their usual free Google Cloud storage of 15 GB to 100GB, up to a maximum of 30 Terabytes.
