To all those who are using Motorola mobiles across the world, here’s a news piece that needs your immediate attention. Those using devices operating on UNISOC Tiger T700 Chipsets such as Moto G20, E30 and E40 smart phones are warned that their mobiles are suffering from stack overflow vulnerability.
Due to chip shortage, Motorola was forced to supply phones that were operating on Chinese Unisoc Tiger Chipsets and this has led to some issues while connecting to LTE Networks.
Hackers can block a user from using LTE networks and expose the devices to denial of service attacks or remote code executions.
Check Point Research has already released an update on this note in May this year and alerted the Chinese brand about its latest findings on Unisoc.
Security researchers from Check Point have assigned the vulnerability with a critical score of 9.4 out of 10 and also disclosed that a patch was already available.
Android security bulletin released in June first week confirmed the news and is urging Motorola mobile users to check for any software updates that can be scrolled through using the settings tab.
Note– Motorola was assigned a number three spot in the United States top selling phones and its latest Unisoc vulnerability disclosure might have raised many eyebrows which are against China and believe that the nation do indulges in fraudulent practices to steal trade secrets on devices manufactured by its companies and functioning in the west- like routers, CCTV cameras and such.
