Microsoft acquires cyber threat detecting firm Miburo

Microsoft has acquired Miburo, a cyber threat detection firm that can identify and respond to foreign information operations. Tom Burt, the Vice President of Microsoft, confirmed the news, but did not disclose any financial details related to the deal.

Already, Microsoft has been reigning in the business of tracking down cyber threats as it has committed itself to offer utmost online safety to its customers. And Miburo will become a part of Microsoft’s Customer Security and Trust Organization and will work closely with the data scientists related to Microsoft Threat Intelligence Center and the Analysis team.

American Technology Company Microsoft has been trying its best to detect and mitigate risks arising from Russia, after its war with Ukraine. It plans to use Miburo automated threat detection software to fight against cyber attacks that are being planned against the West.

In a press update released in early May this year, the Windows OS giant stated it has successfully blocked around 70k threats targeting the critical infrastructure of Ukraine and other parts of the world.

The Win OS giant also added in its statement that all countries that are supporting Kyiv in the war will be possibly targeted by cyber attacks in coming days as Vladimir Putin is in no mood to entertain such interference in its 100 day war with the Zelensky led nation.

Miburo’s acquisition will help in bolstering Microsoft’s objective of keeping users safe and secure from all kinds of online threats.
