Cisco to acquire Valtix

Cisco, the networking giant that also into the business of cloud and Cybersecurity business, has announced that it is soon going to acquire Valtix, a start-up in the business of cloud security. Information is out that the deal might take place in May this year, while the financial terms remain undisclosed.

“As Valtix Technology fits into the vision of delivering cloud integrated networking solutions for companies of all shapes and sized, we are proud to acquire the silicon valley startup,” said Raj Chopra, the Chief Product Technology Officer of Cisco Security.

Valtix has already turned into a strategic product partner for Cisco in the year 2020 as it built a network protection solution that had the potential to defend many workloads, no matter on which cloud they were being created or consumed.

Reliable sources from Cisco Systems INC claim the deal will get closed by September 2023 and from then on, they will amalgamate the company into the Cisco’s Security Business Group.

According to a research conducted by Forester, nearly 75% of respondents struggle to secure their cloud environments. And among them, at least half of them felt that neglecting security in the cloud will expose their environments to data breaches, vulnerabilities and other attacks such as malware inducement into cloud environments.

And this is where Valtix technology helps in clubbing multiple cloud environments with a safe network to help users have a visibility, telemetry, policy enforcement much-needed for consistent and consolidated security policies.

NOTE- Multi cloud environments are exciting and fulfilling, only when the business has a security architecture to support it to the core.
