Google limits internet access to employees to save them from Cyber Attacks

Google, the technology giant of America has launched a Pilot Program with which it safeguards its employees from state funded cyber attacks by limiting their access to internet. Rather we can say that the internet juggernaut is asking its employees to work without internet, that directly shields them from sophisticated attacks.

Currently, the company has exposed the program to a limited number of employees (2200) to test its implementation and arising consequences. However, it suspended the exposure to employees and asked some of its employees to volunteer (with their full-consent) the use of the project

According to the analysis available from the C-level staff, the program aims two birds with one shot. First it shields its employees from attack exposure and second it helps curtail internal threats from sharing classical info with foreign servers.

To boost this program, the web search giant has also developed few of the AI based tools that help bolster the security of the servers and the info that is moving to & from.

NOTE 1- The decision to implement the program was taken after Microsoft issued a public statement that Chinese state funded hackers stole sensitive info from its email account servers early this year.

NOTE 2- Google and many such tech companies like Facebook, Apple and Twitter are improving their security measures with time to survive threats existing in the current cyber landscape.

NOTE 3- Recently, the Alphabet, Inc’s subsidiary rolled out AI Red team, a security framework that simulates realistic attacks on IT infrastructure to find out their vulnerabilities and exploits. Thus, it becomes the first business to abide by the latest set of rules formulated by the White House for protecting AI products and systems from digital assaults.
