Acquisition news trending in the world of Mobile Security and Cloud

Motorola Solutions had made a formal announcement yesterday that it is going to acquire cloud based mobile security firm Openpath Security for an undisclosed amount. Trade analysts say that the former will integrate the innovative authentication technology of the latter to lead the access control industry.

“Digitally securing a business in this highly sophisticated world is not that easy,” said Greg Brown, CEO of Motorola Solutions.

Therefore, the plan is to integrate the two technologies, i.e. video security and access control together to bring in an unprecedented situational awareness to help secure physical entry and exit points with access control and videos, added Mr. Brown.

“Openpath is excited to work to work with Motorola and will intend to offer best-in-class innovative solutions to businesses across the world,” says Alex Kazerani, the CEO of cloud based mobile security solutions provider Openpath.

Meanwhile, in another news related to acquisition, Accenture has made it formal that it has completed the acquisition of the France-based cloud service provider Linkbynet that specialized in managed services and cloud optimization.

Therefore, all the 900+ skilled workers of Linkbynet having certifications in over 400 security skills of managing platforms like Microsoft, Alibaba, Amazon and Google have joined Accenture since May 11th,2021, the formal date of announcement of the deal.

Thence, Accenture is planning to make more such acquisitions in the coming years to enhance its global cloud first capabilities with a $3 billion investment vision
