As expected, the Artificial Intelligence technology is invading our lives so much that it has already started stealing our jobs as robots are being hired as human replacements. The reason is that they do not ask for leaves or weekly offs, work 24/7 if/when necessary, are easy to maintain, do not take sick leaves and never demand for any bonus or stipulated pay.
Perhaps this has made technology giant Amazon replace most of its staff with AI propelled robots. And news is out that the online retailer is planning to layoff most of the workers by mid-2023 as it will start depending on automated fulfillment solutions in its American warehouses.
The testing phase of machine learning algorithms integrated to cameras and robotic arms was completed successfully in September this year and the automated robotic arms are now being used to fulfill 23% of shipment orders.
Technology analysts say that the utilization percentage might increase in the coming months and by 3Q of next year and that can spell a doom to the human working lot within no time.
NOTE- Tesla Chief Elon Musk has already expected such job closures for human minds with the use of AI tech.
So, is the usage of AI Tech bad?
Well, it is not the technology to fault. In fact, we should blame the reason and the minds that need to be put to fault.
Innovation, to bring down operational costs, sophistication and to bring down a cut in the indulgence of human minds is encouraging such machine learning technologies.
Remember, any technology when fallen in the wrong hands can bring a doomsday. But if we carefully use it and keep most of the control under human perception, most of such troubles can be literally avoided……just a thought and it can be biased!
