China trying to steal US COVID 19 vaccine development via Cyber Attacks

In an interactive webinar session launched by CISO Magazine, Bryan Ware the Assistant Director for Cybersecurity- Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said that some malicious cyber actors were trying to steal the documents detailing the COVID 19 vaccine development in United States.

Mr. Bryan Ware who is also a head of CISA said that the nation’s critical infrastructure was on constant threat from nations like China which was aiming at espionage on Corona Virus vaccine development and is also known to be involved in corporate espionage. He has issued stern warning to China and its affiliated groups against stealing of valuable intellectual property and public health data related to vaccines, treatment and testing.

CISO Magazine’s webinar was attended by CEOs, CIOs, CFOs, and Vice Presidents of many Cybersecurity companies operating across the globe like UK, US, Cambodia, Canada and even remote regions like Panama.

Stressing on the fact that the Wuhan virus outbreak has killed at least 293,000 worldwide and more than 83,000 in United States, Mr. Ware said that China might get into the mode of paying a heavy penalty if the US government under the leadership of Donald Trump wants to take stern action against China for hiding truth of the origins of virus and nor cooperating with the International organizations in fighting off the pandemic.

On the other hand Beijing has denied all the accusations put forward by the western nation and has shrugged them off by tagging them as imaginary stories.
