Donald Trump supporters be wary of this Emotet Trojan Malware

    All those fans of US President Donald Trump, you better be aware of this Trojan malware that can target you at any moment. News is out that a banking Trojan lurking on the web is targeting the supporters of Trump and Mike Pence.

    Reports are in that the malware campaign was first sighted by Area 1 Security on August 21st of this year where it was seen posing as a legitimate political action committee email message, but in fact were malevolently infected.

    Most of the messages are reported to be relevant to most publicized topics, hitting the google headlines are mostly been forwarded with a preface as “FWD” or “RE”. And when a victim clicks on the email attachment its like inviting trouble to their device as a malicious load of Emotet Malware gets downloaded.

    From the past few weeks, Trump has gained a lot of the attention from the media with his contentious decisions such as withholding funds for WHO and halting an investigation related to global health agency over the US response to COVID-19 pandemic.

    This has grabbed the attention of hackers as they are seen using the subject-lines tucked with the most publicized topics to launch cyber attacks.

    So, supporters of Republican party, you better be aware of this lurking cyber threat!

    Note- Emotet is a malware that acts as a channel to drop other malware. And hackers are seen spreading it through Phishing Emails.
