Ingram Micro to commit to Cloud Security Business

Ingram Micro, the California-based IT Products, and Services wholesaler have announced that it is willing to focus its distribution growth on cloud security business vertical in next 12 months.

The company which is now a business subsidiary of China-based HNA Group is all set to focus its business on developing infrastructure and services in next 12 to 18 months. Security will stand as one of the 3 strategic pillars of those services for the Ingram Micro-Ecosystem of Cloud.

It’s evident from the latest study made by Cloud Industry Forum that the user base for cloud security is set to grow by 35% in the current year. As per the survey, 36 percent of end users are planning to deploy cloud-based security solutions and 17 percent of them are expected to do it in next few months.

Thus, Ingram Micro desires to tap this business by offering solutions related to cloud security by the end of this year. Its commitment will be to innovate products and services related to cyber security and help its partners meet the growing demand for protecting both in the cloud and on-premises.

The company has already announced that it is including Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud to its distributor’s marketplace meant for cloud end users. The $6 billion worth company is looking to offer cloud solutions related to protection, prevention, detection, mitigation and total expertise.

Hence, with this announcement, Ingram Micro has given a golden opportunity to all its resellers who can maximize their opportunities by provisioning world class security to their respective customers.
