Joe Biden says cyber attacks could easily trigger a shooting war

US President Joe Biden felt that pretty soon a shooting war can erupt between nations and the reason behind it could be a cyber attack. Mr. Biden expressed his mind after a series of sophisticated attacks on SolarWinds, Colonial Pipeline, JBS meat and Kaseya software.

Some nations (Russia and China) were trying to intimidate United States through their acts and they will not be tolerated anymore, added Biden in a 30 minute speech given while visiting the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

To those who aren’t aware of the latest developments, Biden, along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, discussed the same at the June 16 Geneva Summit. As the meeting took place behind the doors, White House preferred giving a briefing on it in July this year.

The permanent shut down of DarkSide Ransomware Spreading gang and the partial disappearance of REvil ransomware gang operations from the dark web indicate that the Putin led government acted seriously on the warning given by Biden administration and seized the operations of several ransomware gangs operating in Kremlin early this month.

Biden also expressed his disappointment over china, as the President Xi Jinping nation was launching consistent cyber attacks on West, with an ambition to become a powerful military force in the world by destroying all its adversaries.

Note- On one hand, nations like China and Russia screech for justice, as soon as their critical infrastructure gets disrupted through cyber attacks. And on the other, they themselves launch malware tools to conduct espionage and stealing of intellectual property on its so-called adversaries.
