The Colorado based company emailed all its employees and confirmed that the company’s network was hit by Ragnar Locker malware that could have entered the database when one employee clicked a baited email link without knowing the negative repercussions that can take place in near future.
America based TTEC that offers technology and services to companies like Verizon, Best Buy, Credit Karma, Dish Network, and Bank of America stated in its statement that its staff were busy addressing the issue and were on road to data recovery.
Currently, the staff at the main office in Englewood was seen contacting the staff at the other branches through a premium Zoom conference line and were busy dealing with any customer related issues faced by clients.
Most of the employees of the company that offer business process outsourcing services were asked to take a weekly off till the services were restored and some have been asked to take a weeklong off as the data recovery might take some time.
