Russia and China wondering about United States insecurity on Cyber Threats!

As soon as Dan Coats, the Director of National Intelligence told the Senate Intelligence Committee that Russia might try to influence the 2018 US elections, Russia and China retaliated to his statement by saying that their governments have no idea on why the United States feels so insecure on Cyber Threats.

Issuing an official announcement on this subject, Beijing released a press statement saying that American Government is trying to target a few nations as it wants to show the countries in a bad light.

As the US remains one of the world’s top major powers, with unparalleled military strength, Chinese foreign minister Geng Shuang wonders why is the country so insecure when it comes to cyber threats.

Shuang added that this attitude leads to confirmation that the US is trying to display zero-sum mindset as it is not in a position to follow the trend of times of peaceful development and is against working with nations like Russia and China to jointly ensure the world peace and stability.

Note- US officials have accused China of operating a sweeping hacking operation targeting the Pentagon, defense contractors and other targets. The nation which is being led by Donald Trump accuses China of supporting Vladimir Putin’s government intentions to pull down the critical infrastructure of United States.

From the past few decades, America has seen China as a long time rival for diplomatic influence and military dominance in Asia. Now, the western nation is also seen naming Russia and North Korea as biggest cyber threats to the Financial, Political and administration landscape of United States.

The perspective of Cybersecurity Insiders- Well, there is no doubt that China and Russia have spied on the activities of politicians, government officials and the common populace of America till date. FBI, CIA, and NSA also have enough evidence on this note and are ready to prove it to the world.

But in the Cyber landscape, evidence of a cyberattack cannot fetch anything. The only thing we can do is to retaliate by either counter attacking the nation with our cyber forces, or by launching military attacks.  Other than these two possibilities, allegations/ accusations may not lead to anything.
