Samsung Knox Mobile Security to help safeguard data of Government & Private

Korean mobile giant Samsung has made it official yesterday that it is going to extend its multi-layered security platform “Knox” to all its devices and appliances pretty soon. And the objective in doing so is to safeguard government and private data against cyber crooks and malware attacks.

“As governments around the globe are our biggest customers, it has become extremely vital for us to secure all the data stored on our devices- whether military or civilian. So, we will add Knox to all our devices in the near future”, Nick Dawson, Director of Product Management and Communications, Samsung.

Since the company happens to be the largest Android device maker, we are focused on offering a secure mobile solution to all our customers’ added Dawson.

Note 1- Knox which was earlier built into the breed of Galaxy devices has the ability to verify the integrity of the device through a chain of security checks that start at platform level reaching operating system and then detect any tampering on the platform to ensure that the data remains completely secure.

Note 2- Furthermore the Knox platform of Samsung helps firms make sure that the info on the devices used by employees isolates personal and business data environments, thus preventing it from reaching wrong hands.

Note 3- First introduced in March’13 for Tizen and Android operating systems, the Samsung Knox platform will from now on be pre-installed on all smartphones, tablets, and wearables launched by Samsung brand.
