Sophos to put an end to TLS based Cyber Attacks

Cybersecurity firm Sophos has come up with a solution that promises to put an end to TLS based cyber attacks. Its XGS Series Firewall appliance does a Transport Layer Security (TLS) inspection that is 5 times faster than what the other models offer. Thus, it helps in thwarting cyber attacks by offering unmatched detection and protection capabilities at high speeds.

In a research conducted by the firm in January through March 2021, it was discovered that over 45% of malware attacks were launched by tampering TLS Communication. Adding to it was an increase in ransomware attacks that was witnessed in the said time frame as hackers were seen using TLS traffic to induce malicious content particularly manually deployed ransomware content like droppers, loaders, and document based installers such as Zloader, GoDrop and BazarLoader.

Therefore, Sophos has come up with a hardware appliance that completely redesigns encrypted internet in this sophisticated digital world by inspecting encrypted traffic without compromising on performance.

Sophos XStream FireWall Architecture appliance is offered with a feature of zero day protection, identification that block the most advanced threats lurking in the threat landscape. An intuitive and unique dashboard is provided to monitor TLS Traffic and inspection issues to offer security administrators a vision to thwart problematic streams with a click of a button.

To those seeking immediate purchase, Sophos Firewall XGS Series desktop and 1U rack mount appliances are available for immediate purchase from Sophos Global partners and MSPs. And to compute more complex network configuration filled environments, Sophos offers models that can meet all standards required for enterprise edge environments.
