UK will repent for handing over 5G network upgrade to Huawei

Edward Lucas, a Britain based security analyst has stated in its recent post that handing the 5G network upgrade to Huawei in Britain is like giving your main door keys to a stranger- where there is no guarantee of his/her behavior/motive.

Stressing on the fact that how the United States has warned other nations from handing over the 5G network upgrade project to Huawei, Lucas said that the Chinese firm did really have close ties with the Chinese government and will prove all the possibilities pointed out by the US Intelligence as completely true.

Readers of the Cybersecurity Insiders should note down a fact that nations like Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Germany, and Taiwan have imposed a ban on the use of Huawei’s products because of the fear that these products will conduct espionage, thus compromising national security.

Meanwhile, UK’s latest Prime Minister(PM) Boris Johnson has dismissed the warnings and has urged the protesters to show a better alternative, if in case Huawei is a ruled out option.

As the PM has the strong backing in Whitehall, Huawei might take a sigh of relief as it can take a big leap at the 5G technology in support of the Internet of Things.

Note- In 2016, Huawei dreamt of becoming a leader in 5G related telecommunications- leading the business in every aspect. But things turned sour when US President Donald Trump imposed a ban in May’19 on the usage of its products and services in his nation due to espionage and security reasons.
