According to a recent research from Specops Software, United States is topping the list of nations which are super-vulnerable to cyber attacks; followed by UK, Germany, India, and Australia.
And the highlight of the research is that the Trump led nation has fallen victim to over 156 separate cyber attacks in between the time frame of May’06 to June 2020. And this includes the major cyber attack which took place on American organizations that was sponsored by Russian Intelligence and was launched by exploiting a vulnerability in an email server that was used to store critical data leading to an economic loss worth millions of dollars.
In comparison with USA, United Kingdom stood second in the list as 47 significant cyber attacks reportedly targeted it in the 14-year period between 2006-2020.
India, Germany and Australia took the other consecutive positions with 23,21 and 16 cyber attacks suffered in the above specified time frame on the respective note.
Specops Software study on cyber attacks has highlighted the fact that cyber threats do influence political, economic and social institutions in different countries and released just when the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced that China was launching sophisticated cyber attacks on businesses and governments operating in its region.
